CODE OF CONDUCT

‘Respect and Responsibility

OBGFC seeks to promote and strengthen its good reputation within the Australian
Rules Football and Bayside Communities by establishing positive standards of
performance and behaviour for players and supporters.

On field at OBGFC

1. Players aspire to high standards of sportsmanship and personal conduct.

2. Players must conduct themselves in a positive manner so as not to bring the club into disrepute. This applies during training sessions, match day, camp or tour including traveling to and from related club commitments.

3. Players must not willfully engage in actions that may cause injury or illness to opposition players, coaches or supporters.

4. Players must treat all umpires and officials with the utmost respect and not willingly impede them from their duties.

5. Players must attend training sessions and match days in an acceptable state of fitness.

6. Players, where deemed necessary, must attend recovery, physio and or medical sessions.

7. Players must wear the appropriate club apparel on all match days.

8. Players must seek to punctually attend club related functions and events.

9. Players unable to play on match days should, where possible, be prepared to assist with off field duties.

10. Players must treat all club facilities and equipment with the utmost care.

 

Off field at OBGFC

1. All Supporters should maintain the club’s high standard of Sportsmanship and personal conduct.

2. Supporters must conduct themselves in a positive manner so as not to bring the club into disrepute. This applies during match days, home and away.

3. Supporters must not willfully engage in actions that may cause injury or illness to other club patrons, opposition supporters, players and coaches.

4. Supporters must treat all umpires and officials with the utmost respect and not willingly impede them from their duties.

5. The club seeks the support of all club patrons to attend club related functions and events.

6. Supporters must treat all club facilities and equipment with the utmost of care.

7. All players must strive to respect the club, its sponsors and the Bayside community.
