The purpose of the OBGFC mentoring program is to offer all existing and prospect players the opportunity to utilise the wide array of resources available within the ‘Old Brighton’ network to ensure that every avenue is explored to obtain a successful career path.
The mentoring program will encompass and include the following services
1 Career Advice and Counselling
• Offer all current and prospective players the opportunity to obtain professional advice as to the prospective career path most suited to them
2 Resume Preparation & Advice
• Offer professional assistance and advice in constructing an up to date resume to present to a prospective employer
3 Job Interview Techniques
• Provide professional advice as to the best way to prepare and present yourself at an interview with a prospective employer
4 Job Opportunities
• By utilising the vast network of the ‘The Old Boys’ assist in finding the career and job most suited to the employer
5 Financial Advice
• Assist in providing the correct financial advice when considering investment opportunities eg – purchasing a house
The Mentoring Program will be designer to assist players achieve their goals by opening up all avenues available as offered by the OBGFC network. It relies on the player showing a high degree of enthusiasm and being proactive in working with resources offered.
