Round 15: Old Brighton Snrs v St Bernards

With another 6 changes to the team we travelled to Trinity in what was a must win game for the Tonners. Q1, when kicking into a strong wind, the work rate and effort was terrific and as well as kicking 2 goals ourselves we restricted the opposition to a mere 2 goals. Q 2 was a battle again as the conditions made it extremely difficult to score and we added 3goals to 1 and went in at half time 9 points in front. The third quarter was a replica of the first, work rate, effort and pressure was very good and by keeping the oppo to just 2 goals set the game up for us. 3 goals to 1 in Q4 gave the Tonners a 14 point win and on a day when scoring was very difficult, accuracy in front of goal was important as the 60% accuracy to 37% showed. To keep any team to 6 goals for a game is a really good sign that the team is applying pressure and are committed to helping each other, some really good signs.

Final score: Old Brighton 9gls 6 (60) triumphed over Olt Trinity 6gls 10 (46)
