Levi Otto Celebrates 200 Games: A Milestone in Old Brighton History
Levi Otto recently reached a monumental milestone for Old Brighton, having played his 200th game in the Maggies' semi-final against Uni Blues.
Levi first pulled on the red and blue jumper in 2012 as part of the Under 19s side, making an immediate impact by helping the team to a premiership in his debut season. Unlike many of his teammates, Levi didn’t come through Brighton Grammar, but he was welcomed with open arms. Over the years, he became much more than a Tonner—he became a vital part of the club’s fabric.
From the very beginning, Levi quickly earned promotion to the senior ranks, where his versatility became his trademark. Able to adapt to any role across the ground, he was admired as the ultimate team player—never concerned with individual accolades but always focused on what the team needed.
Throughout his career, Levi displayed remarkable consistency and resilience. A stalwart of both the Maggies (Reserves) and the senior side, he battled through injuries that would have sidelined many players, always coming back stronger. Whether running into an open goal to lift the crowd, locking down an opponent, or providing bursts of explosive play, Levi could always be relied upon.
His stats speak for themselves: 152 goals for Old Brighton and 43 best player awards.
Levi was more than just a footballer—around the club, he was known for his easy-going nature, always up for a chat, and always leading by example. From the young kid with boundless energy to the tower of strength he became, Levi grew into one of the club’s most respected figures.
This milestone also earned him life membership as a 200-game player, a fitting honour for someone who embodied the values of dedication, selflessness, and loyalty.
As the Maggies stepped onto the field in their semi-final clash, they did so with an extra spring in their step, inspired by Levi’s achievement. The entire Old Brighton community was proud to celebrate this incredible feat of 200 games—a true testament to his love of the game and his unwavering commitment to the club.
Congratulations, Levi—a much-loved teammate, a great clubman, and now, a 200-game legend.
