Round 18: U19’s Old Brighton v De La Salle

Old Brighton 16 14 110 defeated Old Xavierians 2 4 16

The u/19s played De La Salle at the Beach Road Oval last Saturday morning in our final round before the finals series.The first half was played in foggy and slippery conditions and at half time we held a solid 4 goal lead.The conditions in the second half certainly improved which suited our fast ball movement style of play and De La Salle failed to score a goal for the rest of the game whilst we added another 10 goals to run away with a 94 point victory.The lads are playing a solid, team oriented style of game and have a strong willingness to share the ball.This week we play Scotch in the First Semi Final at Elsternwick Park on Saturday 9.20 am. We have lost narrowly both times to them but we are confident that we have learnt from those experiences and can conquer at the weekend. Come along and support the team, your voice as the 19th man may just get us over the line.
